PCB Swappers...
To all the PCB Swappers out there:
To all of you out there swapping PCB's:
After doing the resistor jumper mod, and the No reverse mod on my future Dragster (got a couple motors on the way to continue with this), I've noticed an incredible leap in off the line torque. My ZZ SS (as it will be known) jumps off the line now, and travels well on carpet, even with the high gear set in (something not even close to possible before).
My question is, will swapping another PCB give me any more noticeable improvement, or should I just stick with modding the PCB for my purposes? It was a bit tricky with my soldering rig (really need to get a small tip for that thing), but there would be soldering involved with a swap, as well.
Thanks for all info!
Chris
P.S. Do you do anything with your ZZ PCB's when you're done? Is there anything you can salvage, or do they shelved/trash canned?

you will definately notice a difference using a non zip pcb, my 3 cell with clone pcb is so fast its barely controllable, i had to glue 2 pices of plastic on the bottom of the car like wings to keep it from flipping even when im just going straight, its faster than my rocket racer and my epoch, heres the set up, fast furious zip, clone pcb, 3 nicad cells in series, red motor , red gears. ill drag race anyone

Yah, I did all sorts of unsavory things to my ZZ PCB. Then I got a microsizer and pulled the board out. It's night and day. I'm still working on a way to get a 3.6v button cell (Lithium ion) to power the ZZ. I just haven't had much time lately.
