How do you remove the front pins from the steering knuckle

I can't figure out a way of removing the front pins (axle) from the steering knuckle.
Suggestions would be apprechiated.

I'd be interested in knowing this, as well. I've tried using the tip of a mechanical pencil to push the pin out from the back. I've tried using needle-nose pliers to pull it out from the front. Neither worked.

I also tried both of these. I'm trying to do the FULLSIZE WHEELSET mod.

Hammer and punch

I did a front end mod on my ZZ and used a hammer and punch. A small nail will also work. Just make sure there is a hole on the work surface for the pin to fall in to.

If you can't fix it get a bigger hammer!!!

This is the way I did it..... I just pried the wheel away from the knuckle, then put the knuckle in my teeth, and pulled it away from my mouth using needlenose plyers.

I use needlenose pliers to hold the pin, then twist the knuckle as I'm pulling. It hasn't failed yet.

I warm the pin up with a soldering iron, and it pulls out fairly easy.

Soldering is a good idea. What I did was hammer it out with a precision screwdriver. For bad quality OEM cars, you can pull it out in seconds with needle nose pliers.

I say my idea would work the best for us 'more lazy' people, because the other two either involve going out into the garage, or waiting for the soldering iron to heat up.
