Yes, there is an annual license and it requires PHP and mySQL so it wouldn't run on a free site like that I'm afraid.

Sorry to complain, but you do know what SPYWARE is right? Cuz Comet Cursor is one of the kings! That is not a good thing, BTW.

And having that "Install Comet Cursor?" pop up on EVERY PAGE is going to drive away traffic like you wouldn't believe. Most people know that Comet Cursor = Very Bad and won't install it.

Just a tip for you...

If you want a free forum software check out Ikonboard. It's very similar to what is used here, might be missing a few features. That's what I use on my site and it seems to work great. It does require that you have some HTML knowledge and have cgi-bin access (not sure of AOL does).

http://www.ikonboard.com/

As far as your site goes, I'd like to give you a few pointers:

1. Kill the opening pop-up, pop-up kills traffic, a lot of it!
2. The background images are definitely cool but can make text hard to read, stick to a basic background for the bulk of your page and maybe through the snazzier background into smaller tables without text.
3. The music is unneeded in your page and can become repetitive. A good way to provide music to your visitors is through a seperate link instead of having it auto-play when they open a page.
4. The main thing is to make everything easily accessible and easy to read, you've done a good job with the buttons but the text is difficult in certain areas.
5. I agree with earlier suggestions, ditch the Comet Cursor!

If you're interested in checking out my site, I've provided it below. It's not the most colorful layout but it's easy to navigate and quite clear (at least I think so).

Ok, this might be annoying, but this may also help in the general appearance of your site, use DreamWeaver. it will help so much. really not that hard to use and you can upload the site right from the program. don't want pop-ups? get a really cheap .com from www.web.com, that's where I got mine I just have to hook it up. and then if you want a really good message board, then of course go with ikonboard
here's my site
http://febis.ods.org/~kassatsu/
it hasn't been updated in a while because my sftp uploader croaked

oh yeah, and while your there, buy a shirt!

ps. just remembered, wanna make a few extra bucks? make a store at www.cafepress.com
