Is it just me....

Or does this message board have all of the educated modifiers?

I spent my first month on boards like these over at somewhere else. My questions were never answered. You guys already answered them in the Bit Science forum. I really like the posters here 100x more.

Now, the colors, I can live with out. But, that's a small price to pay for the knowledge this board holds. Keep up the great work moderators.

I never had a problem with any of them over there, but I just didn't like how they treated posters. One thing that stood out is the way you guys take care of and welcome the newbies. All they did over there was pretty much call them idiots and tell them to go search for what they want. There's better ways to handle that and this board has proven it.

You're the USA as to their Communist China.

Hello,
I agree with Stridex. I've browsed some other forums and they all treat noobs like (expletive deleted). As far as I can tell you guys are the best. All the modders here know their stuff and seem very helpful to us new guys.
Thanks and keep it up.

Hey, I love this board too. I used to hang out elsewhere, but the had tooooooo many rules. I find this board to be clean, well moderated, and most helpful. It's nice to be able to bounce ideas off one another without being made to feel foolish. And yes, I think the folks here would win an IQ race hands down over the other boards.

I agree with this thread wholeheartedly! I just left another board for the same reasons (probably the same one). Just couldn't get any answers, was flamed constantly, and had to suffer serious brand loyalty from those that hated Zips. This forum is a breath of fresh air, believe me. Keep it up guys, you're the greatest!

It isn't a bad board at all. The old Micro RS4 boards were terrible. The color does get to me sometimes though, but I've seen much worse.

almost all msg boards are full of brand loyal idiots who kiss up to the moderators. and moderators who get pissed if you talk about competitor stores in a good manner. ive seen tons worse than this one.

I tried that, BUt was so used to the default theme that I had to go back right away! I think I'm hooked!?!?

Thanks guys! I think what sets us apart from the other forums that many have the misfortune of stumbling upon first is that our site is run by enthusiasts and experts! Note that I'm the top poster on this site, as I see it as my duty to help everyone out, answer questions, and contribute ideas. Looking at other forums I see admins who aren't even in the top 5, and when they do bother posting it's to correct someone's spelling or scold them for linking to our site or QFM's, not to share knowledge of the cars (largely since their RC knowledge is limited). When I see other sites with banner ads linking to clone vendors it's clear that the owner is just out to make a quick buck. And forcing people to buy products if they want to post images - well, just more evidence.
Our Moderators do an excellent job, in my opinion, and I can't thank them enough! We choose our Mods extremely carefully, as their actions represent TinyRC.com. The average Mod age at other forums is less than half of ours, and it shows, with their Mods being the initiaters of flame wars instead of being the ones to put them out. Oh well, I guess it's good to see that our community continues to grow and grow while others are slowing down, I think this speaks louder than anything else.
Thanks for the kind words guys, and help make TinyRC.com even better by recruiting all of your friends who may still be stuck at other sites!

I would like to extend a heartfelt AMEN! I was just asked to leave another forum because I had questions about how members were treated by the administration. I mentioned this forum (privately no less, not in a public way) and how well posters were treated and how a much friendlier atmosphere was present here. It was suggested that perhaps I would be happier over here and their forum happier without me. I couldn't believe it. I told them to delete my account and here I am. I won't mention the forum in question, heck, many of you probably know which one it is anyway. Very mean to newbies, making fun of posters, and a very surly dictitorial way of handling posts. Not to mention a severe lack of respect for Zip owners. I tired of it after only 3 days. I asked questions of the administrator voicing my concerns, and was told to leave. Amazing. This forum is a difference of night and day in how members are welcomed, their questions answered, and overflows with good, sound advice from people who know their stuff. Nothing but smiles over here now. Thank you for maintaining such an outstanding venue for us all to exchange information.

my take on this topic

I feel the biggest difference here over other boards is that it is setup/run by mature people.
I love coming here and reading all the great idea's people have here and the solutions to problems.
The only other board I like as well as this one is RCMT (Radio Controlled Monster Trucks)

Thanks TINYRC and to all the people that make it happen here.
