1/64 alternative body sources
I enjoy the microsizer style car/chassis but as far as body styles are concerned, I'm much more a German car fan. I would really prefer a Porsche, BMW or Benz-o body. Is it possible to take a regular 1/64 scale model car such as the ones found on http://www.autoartmodels.com/pages/oldpage/junior.htm and fit them to the chassis via some clever dremel/mod work? Has anyone done such a thing?

The one shortcoming of Bits/Microsizers that Zip Zaps have covered is the weird scaling. The wheelbases of Bits/MS are shorter to improve tight handling, but that also makes it very difficult to find a true to scale body that will not have wheel-well issues. I recommend looking at slot cars or maybe even some of those crazy looking matchbox concept vehicles. Other than that, you can always make your own out of putty

The clone cars come with European bodies like the Porsche, Ferrari, and the Mercedes CLK GTR. They should fit on your bit chassis. The only thing is, you'll have to buy the clone in order to get the body.

which will probably come with a really fast motor and longer life battery and better controller. and possibly the rest of the car depending on what clone you buy.
