my mini-x is in the mail...
and already i've been planing the mods
hear is what i have planed so far

build a new 6 cell NiMH Pack w/
Sanyo AAA 720mAh
Deans Wet Noodle 12 Gauge wire
Deans Micro Plugs

replace all important wire w/
Deans Wet Noodle 12 Gauge wire

foam bumper
motor can heat sink
maybe from a Novak ESC or a PC shop
or maybe this heat sink from Tamiya...
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWT60&P=7
its for their Dagun Racers... the site says they use 130 size motors... http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...sh_trigger.htm

eventually i will probably replace the ESC w/ the Novak Spy ESC
the servo w/ a Hitec...
maybe if i get really into it a synthed FM Rx and Tx

and of course bodies!

tell me what you think about the 12 gauge wire? is it to big?
has anyone used Deans Micro Plugs

12 guage wire:

Seems to me very much overkill. But if you already have some I suppose it wouldn't hurt (other than a bit of weight). The 130 motors simply don't draw that kind of current.

Heatsink:

It looks like that might fit if you grind it down some.

Battery:

Probably better to buy the stock packs at $14 than to do all that work for very little gain.

Have a blast!

TinyRC doesn't have the 8T pinion gears in the parts shop...
would the Mini-Z's pinion gear work?
would any pinion gear work?

someone posted about upgrading the diff balls to Carbon...
would the Mini-Z diff balls work?
would any Carbon diff balls work?

(just an idea)
someone should post a thread just listing parts from other vehicels that work w/ the Mini-X (a.k.a. Mini-Z parts etc...)
kinda like the list of Model Body Compatibility List
