to be honest all modellista is good for is the bodies, the rest is just dissapointing "boosted" speed.

What love got to do with it?
Nice 2000gt! I've been considering getting the skyline history set. That and the modellista set. But right now I've gotta wait till I get paid seeing as how I just purchased two more bits that I also wanted.
Temjin why do you say that the boosted speed is disappointing? (I'm just asking seeing as how I don't have a "boost" set yet)
Also I don't know if this has been asked yet, and since we're talking about boost here, but will the boost work with any BCG engine? I mean could I remove the 2.2 and say put a 2.6 or 3.0 in it and still be able to "boost."

It works with any of the motors... Friend of Mine has the Auto Modellista set and a 2.6 in it, I had a 3.0 in mine, both running with 9.86:1s and they were almost exactly the same speed, The boost definantly makes the car faster...

Boost till it hurts
The boost "function" for the Microsizers/BCGs is a feature that Tomy put into certain models where it doesn't provide full power to the motor but when you hit the boost button on the controller it then provides the full power to the motor thus achieving it's full speed potential. I believe that's what it is...I could be wrong though, anyone want to confirm or correct as needed?

Oh by the way I absolutely LOOOVE that auto modellista Skyline of yours DakarV! You tempt me all the more to purchase the set.
PS - And while we're on the topic of boost (see above) quick question...which sets actually DO come with boost that ya'll know of?

The red skyline up there isn't from the auto modellista set, it's from the skyline history set. (The auto modellista set does come with that car but in black and silver)
The Auto Modellista Set and Nissan Fairlady Z come with the boost. Also, you can get a 4-band controller and buy the booster set with the clear body.
