Cripple Cap Mod
Hello,
I just got a new Supra from Hong Kong, and the range sucks. I decided to open it up to find that it did not have a cripple capicator in it. I was wondering if there was a new way that they are making it, or if I have gotten a crap controller.

BTW
BTW the inside of it is dirty and it has a white substance all over it I don't know if this is normal or not, but I don't have a camera so I can't attach pics. My max range is maybe 3 feet before it begins to stutter.

BTW (again)
I tried swapping motors from my 3.0 to a 1.0 and it seems to work fine, but I don't really want to spend more money on a motor so does anybody know a way to fix the stuttering problem?
Thanks,
Yaksha

Bit Chars Supra onward don't have the inside the controller crippler, their crippler is in the car on the PCB. I had a hard time taking it out. See questformadness, they tell ya how. I untied a knot found below the PCB belonging to the car antennae and I gained 1 feet yay!!!

Yaksha,
try this,my supra had the crippler on the other side of the controllers circuit board.it was a #8.i wasn't really sure if it was it or not but i crossed my fingers and cut it,BINGO. my range was great after that. also, if you want try to make a small hole in the hood of you bit (like where a real car antenna would be) and run your antenna through there it makes your antenna a little longer, maybe gain a foot or two in range.

After you untie the knot, why don't you just run the wire out the back since that's the side of the PCB that the wire connection is on instead of running it to the front and through the hood??
