easy mod 1
well i just got one yesterday for my son at radio shaq(saw him on the ad)and loved it ran it about an hour and went to get my own we both have the stangs one red one yellowgot the nos kits on both blah blah now the cool part
i took the handy dandy dremel and lowerd both of em alot big diff heres the specs in thousnadths
stock custom
front .280 .235
sides .280 .195
and the big diff the rear
rear .320 .170
all measurments are to the body not chasisas far as the labor not bad thrity minutes being very picky first need to check inside clearnace i cut a new slot .200 above the rear slot wich is about where thebumber stops the screw gets in the way so i halfed the top off mine so its now out of the way i used a exacto to start and a good file to finish dont worry you cant tell the file marks at all so on the front its about .150 above the old slot now for the body to fit you have to remove the plastic cap on the cpu boardor sand it down a little which i didafter that just the wheel wells are left ha easy just dremel it to fit tires and wham or "ZIP ZAP"ad or done basicly you push the body futher down on the chasisso they dont look dumb any more sorry no pics yet camera is down but will post asap
well after that you now have a lowerd tinted zz now add ground efects and go wheels look so good tucked in looks like dubs(or twenty inch rims)

Kit for the headlights and taillights? Aren't RS bodies headlights painted over with silver and the taillight painted over with bright red? You'd have to remove the paint with thinner, repaint the area where you thinned to much, and still have to deal with the tinting of the body's natural plastic.
Now neon ground effects are probably easier, but my leds won't fit on the side of the body. I've read about EL wire and sheeting, but haven't had time to run to the store to get any.

heya..yes someone else thought like me and dropped the ZZ
i only use the eclipse FF car, because thats the only one that looks "normal" besides the supra
i dropped it at least 5-6 milimeters...and its PHAT!!
i had to shave some of the rear fender off, and make it higher so that the wheels wouldnt touch the body...
it can be lower when i take the stabalizer off, but that means ill have to shave some of the front fender off...arg...so i just replaced the wheels with my front Bit wheels
also..to make it slightly faster, i cut out the side windows, and shaved some of the inside walls thinner...
that also includes the larger holes i made in the front and rear facia
now i just need a faster motor...

OH i almost for got to say...
i had to take theclear pcb cover off, so i could drop my car further cuz it got in the way....that shows how low it really is
now my pcb cover is a piece of paper and tape hahah
im thinkin of putting my normal rims back on, and then drop it more and shave some of the inner hood so that i can have a stabalizer to work properly without cramping the space

trolls can be fun... the problem is when the noise-data ratio gets out of hand...
the best posts are about new, interesting, and inexpensive mods for the zz...
