actually now that i look at the logic, the capacitor is the little crapper on the other side, that is connected to the blue wire... some how... so just cut that crap off btw mine had #8 on it... so if that what u got on the other side cut that crap off... now my car works up to 22 feet... weird huh? guess it was the antanna mod that i did before...

I think it would be a good idea for you to go to www.questformadness.com and get the cripple cap out of your car and try the antenna mods, both car and controller, if you haven't already.
I still can't find the cripple cap in my rev 5.0 board but those other mods give me about 20 feet down my hall. Used to have a range five to ten feet depending on how I held my tongue

Out of the box both my 27MHz & 45MHz got the same range. I did the crip mod (Car & Controller) and now my 45MHz will get about 40+ feet. My 27MHz is around 30 feet.

Ok Ive seen this work on two diffrent microsizers, both cars were 27 mhz and neither would go past 5 to 7 feet max. Took one car apart and removed the cripple cap on the pcb also replaced the anntena with a 22 awg wire. Nothing! did not help, well maybe 2 to 3 extra feet. then took second 27 mhz car apart and decided to try two 26 awg wires twisted in a pair, left the cripple capacitor on this car, this wire is a solid copper wire and guess what? added about 20 to 25 feet to this car, so now it goes about 35 feet indoors before studdering. Took the first car back apart and changed the antenna on it also. Same thing, increased range by about 25 feet indoors.F.Y.I the antennas were ran out the top of the car near the front windshield. The wire was left a little on the long side. Not sure why but 27Mhz seems to be the worst so far. My 57 Mhz will go about 60+ feet and 49 and 45Mhz seem to do well also where we are running these, indoors with lots of electrical equipment around. So looks to me like the antenna on the car is the biggest factor for distance that ive seen.
