Microsizers Vs Zipzaps

I just recently purchased a Microsizer - now I see TV commercials for Zip Zaps - (which are cheaper!)

2 questions for you all...

1.) Which are faster (stock) - Microsizers, or ZipZaps?
2.) Do the bodies from Zip Zaps fit on Micorsizers?

(I apologize if there questions have been previously answered - I'm new - )

Yea, i think that alot of tests have been done and prove that microsizers are better in most of the catergories....but if u want to research a little more go to this site, it has a whole bunch of charts and other things like that. O yea, lol, its a review of the microsizers, and the zip zaps, heres a link:

Microsizers vs. Zipzaps

Hope that helps!

ok i have personally owned 1 zipzap and several bit clones.

i had the zipzap first and well i was totally stoked when i got it. i have to admit that it is pretty neat. the only thing that really sucks about zipzaps is the fact that they are slow. and you cant make them really fast unless you want to risk destroying the circuit board. the one good thing about them is they tend to handle really well out of the box.

my clones are all much faster than zipzaps. although they very in speeds even with the same motors. the only bad thing that seems to plague these is the fact that their steering is weak. well this can be remedied by going to radio shack of all places and picking up their 1.59$ rare earth magnets. this is the most important mod. im sure it would improve zipzap handling as well.
also ive found that graphite shoved into every nook and cranny where mechanical parts touch is a good remedy for little problems and makes your car quiter and faster.

i dont own any official microsizers or bits but they are supposedly the same as clones with better quality control. my clone with all the best parts from all of my cars(about 85% stock) goes straight, steers very nice, has 20foot range without any antenna sticking out of the car(very nice for handling less topheavy) and goes 10feet in 2.9 seconds.

i think the bottom line is that all of these cars are more fun than not having any at all. any of these are gona have trouble and need maintenence to work really well. also the higher the frequency the further the range. if you find a 57mhz car buy it.

anyhow have fun and you will lose if we ever race.

The bottom line is that a microsizer is better than the zip zap in pracitcally every way except for the handeling. My bits(2-speed) outhandle and outrun my zip zap(bits have higher rpm motors). It has the fastest available(RS) motor in it. When i tested them with the 2.2 in one of my bits. It blew it away. And the NOS motor is said to have more rpms. All you need to do on a zip zap is jumper the resistors on the circuit board(PCB) and then you can use higher level motors. EVen after this, i am still not sure that this mod uses the full power of te motors. Personally this mod never worked for me, and i killed one of my zip zaps, in its early career. o well...

my opinion is if zipzaps were the only micro rc cars made they would be really nice. but theres nicer stuff for cheaper. 14$ clones with 1.59$ magnet mods. and 3 dollars for graphite.

ill race anyone with a zipzap and spank them in a drag or circuit race.

I seriously thank the fates that the local radio shack ran out of zips before I could get one. I love my skyline and look forward to my booster after chirstmas.

thanks! :)

THank you all for the info! - one more question (pardon my lack of knowledge here ...) but what is a "bit" - or Charbit, or something like that? -

cuz someone earlier in this thread mentioned how the bodies of Microsizers and ZipZaps dont' fit on each other, but they seem to be exactly the same size - am I missing somethign here? - even the cuz I know I've seen something that is even smaller than Micorsizers - are those the Charbit? - or whatever they are called?! - arg!! - so confused... too many questions - -

hogjowlz, I have to disagree with you on the higher frequency equals better range comment. I have clones with 5 different frequencies, 27, 35, 45, 49, and 57 and the only one that I can't go at least 15 feet with is the 57Mhz car. I've yet to do some mods to it. It may just be a poor solder job on the 57Mhz controller or car, but it's range is terrible .. like only 5-6 feet.

My Huale clones go at least 15 feet and probably more like 25 feet without any problems straight out of the box without even unwrapping the antenna from under the PCB.
