we can't post images that large. the forum would slow to a crawl. that's why we were asked to post at 320x240 i think it was. i'm sure if you ask whom ever made the particular wallpaper(s) you like, they might send you a larger size.

Well, I started off taking a pic that I was going to use for the Skyline gallery and I imported the image to photoshop. I then started to fool around with tools and filters. Some of the filters I thought looked neat (like the one I used), and decided to do a wallpaper for myself. I thought I would post it for the heck of it.
I really need to buy a good book for photoshop.

oh sorry , i wasnt talking about your picture...im just talking about filters in general...most newcomers that use photoshop, automatically go for filters...which to me doesnt help with the design process depending on what type of art/grahpics you do...
if you were rendering a picture/cg painting, making metallic or other texture embossed logos, and what not, then filters are a LITTLE useful then, but in general, all you really need is your toolbar.
no need to buy a book, because there are 1000s of sites online that show step by step directions...or just go to the library, some libraries do carry PS books, but trust me, it aint worth buying one.
if you learn by yourself for a couple months, you can literally learn almost everything there is in those $40-50 so called "advanced techniqe" books....
