1 meter = 3 feet

8*3 = 24 feet, 9*3 = 27 feet

if i remember correctly, your meter is about the size of what we call a yard which is 3ft. a meter and a yard are of similar distances give or take a bit

Telescopic antenna works the best i would say, i did it to mine, and it worked like a charm.. However my controller is busted right now heh. I think i crushed something while had it in my bag because one day it just stopped working. The car is fine, its the controller for once hah.

Mounting telescopic antenna

The antenna I took out of my lil' radio looks similar to the one they sell at QFM. I opened my controller case, and had to cut a bit, but I actually used the same screw that is used to hold down the metal plate that connects to the origonal antenna. No soldering required. Just cut a small notch in the plastic with a utility knife is all you need to do.

To help your range

You could always get a the controller and car antenna upgrades at bitchar-gmotors.com. They have them there. Instructions to install them are in the forum. Unfortunantly they don't have the pics anymore. But they will. It is pretty easy understandable instructions.
