Depends what you use it for, I would go with a 3.0 or the next step above, dont want nothing that you may have to worry about flipping.

I have a boosted 3.8 skyline that rolls all the way over like your toyota dB. The spoiler on it helps catch the ground and flips it upright!

If you have a safe track to drive it on I would definetly get the 3.8. On a track with an 8' straight and using 12:1 gearing my car is very quick. It makes 2.2s look like they're going backwards. The car does get bounced around a lot and get a lot of abuse. Can't beat a 3.8 for entertainment value!

yeah both mine and my friends 3.8's died mine after 3 min his didnt work at first but then worked great for a day and died. however QFM is really cool and they let us send them back and they will ship us replacements. they said that the 3.8s have a higher faliure rate so they will be glad to exchange n e broken ones. they r fast as crap so i wouldnt recommend the from n e thing but draging...and fun. also we just double NiMHed them and they r faster than with the 3.8s so once we get the 3.8's back they will be freakin fast.

Ok, prepare yourself, and make sure that you don't fal lout of your chairs when you read this, I am not responsible for ANY damages tha tmay happen.. I just got a car about a week or two ago, and it came with a 2.2 motor. My friend has a 3.0 motor in his car, and I can beat him SO bad. He has the EXACT same kind of car as me, same company, name, everything, its just that he has a 3.0 motor.
Is this normal that I can beat him? I thought 2.2's were supposed to be slow?!?!
