each sold seperatly

I just wonder if Hot Wheels will actually put out their accesory kits or not. They say on the instruction sheet the you can get a 3.0 motor- available in Aug. 2002

Best deal I've gotten around here is a microsizer for $29 and the KIT racer for $10- all at target.
The local R/C shop has the microsizer for $36 and just a 2.6 motor for $10.

Not bad if you know what you'r looking for, and know where to get it.

Target just dropped their prices on KIT racers. They're now just under $10. Wally World still rules price wise at just under $8. But how can you tell what the RPMs are on KIT motors?? I haven't found any specific RPM info on the packages or in the instructions. Very cools bodies though...I can't wait until some 3rd party vendors start making Sci-Fi type bodies for Bits and ZZs...the Speed Racer series is cool, but something out of Mad Max would be great!

went to fao schwartz in nyc today, and yep the 2.2 and 2.6 racers were there (yellow and orange) but i wouldnt go for them there, they are 16 bucks. interesting, they had the kit racer track there for 50 bucks, with an exclusive racer included in the box. couldnt see which motor was in it, but it had a different body.

motor clip

I got annother of the kit racers, and figured out what the deal is with the curved motor cover- it holds the motor in there like a VICE. Really tight, and kind of hard to get on. It will not hold the zip zaps motors, but it really grips the other ones really well.

Does anyone have a list of what motor comes with which KIT Racer?

I'm looking for a 1.6 or 2.6 motor and a set of 4 tires.
I don't know which of the KIT Racers will match what I'm looking for.

So does anyone actually own the track? Or does everyone just buy KITs for parts?

Oh yeah, this thread about the KIT Racing sets. Forgot I had posted to it about the motor clips/heatsinks. Well, I managed to find the answer on my own.

The KIT Racing sets come with 3 different heatsinks. The normal one, a copper one, and a rounded one. The copper one is a better conductor and should draw the heat away more efficiently than the normal one (although at this size, I don't think it makes much of a difference). The rounded one is a temperature sensing heat sink. Since it has more contact surface, it is able to draw the heat better. There are two more heatsinks supposedly available as accessories. All I know is that one of them is blue.

I already broke the charger it came with. I didn't realize it was spring loaded for the timing mechanism before opening it. I haven't bought the track. I'd rather play with RC cars than watching them go around a track.

Just got a Hot Wheels KIT racer from Target, they are on sale for $5.88. They were out of the MicroSizers. KayBee toys had the MicroSizers, but they were selling for $34.99!!!! I've been wanting to get a "real" BCG, but 35 bucks is pushin' it. Especially when my Sen Fa BCG "clone" seems to run quite nicely. Tomy should have just bypassed Hobbico altogether for distribution, after all - they do sell stuff under the Tomy name brand here in the states, and Hobbico is just another "middleman" to feed!
