A horn from a musical greeting card!

Just an idea - if you can get an LED to run off a lithium battery and fit in a Char-G, then why not the little speaker and chip that plays music out of those annoying greeting cards, that run off a lithium battery? If you can find a card that plays "Dixie" you can have your own Dukes of Hazzard bit! I'm assuming the mod for this would be the same for those light mods that allow you to switch on LEDs from your controller (light brakes when you stop, turn signals when you turn, etc) but modding a booster button could work too, or even assign 1 of the 4 bands from a 4-band controller...i'm just throwing ideas out there!

of course there is that OEM that makes motor noises that you can thankfuly turn off from the controller...but now you can have any tune you want (from hallmark that is)!

Here is the article that gave me the inspiration

better yet, get a card that plays greensleeves and convert a Bb into a little ice-cream van.

That's a great idea! But I'd end up stepping on my car. I hate those noises. But I do think it would be fun as a horn that you could just sound whenever you wanted to... Hmmm.

umm...interesting...
there are those Halloween ones where u open it and it screams..which can SORTA sound like drifting
you could somehow have it to where you turn, the noise comes on.. that sounds reasonable

and ive seen those cheaper larger rc cars that have those sounds like...engine starting, burnout, car alarm etc..but those would be too large...

Here's an intresting idea. Instead of putting the chip and speaker on the car, you could hook up the schreeching moise to the turn buttons, or the ice cream truck music to the accelerator. That could work, and you would have more room to put things.
