Unhappy Watch out when moding controller!!

I decided to put some knobs on my controller today. First off if you have one of the radioshack cases your controller wont fit in it after you mod it with new knobs. I didnt look first, so after i got it done (it look good too!) i discovered it wouldnt fit in my case any more. So i decided to take them off (Bad idea). I screwed them in a little to tight and so when I was unscrewing the forward and reverse knob it broke one of the rocker slots on the inside. So i took it apart and check it out and put it all back together and it does still work. I just wanted to let you other know that if you do this it would be a good idea to take the thing apart and take out the knobs to screw into them so this dosent happen to you! :-(

P.S. If any one has a controller that dosent work for some reason. I would be interested in buying the top of the case, thats the only part i need to get it back to like it was before i got mod happy.

I recently outgrew my homemade custom carrying case so I purchased the RS case. I discovered like you that my modded control sticks didn't fit properly. I just marked the top cover with a sharpie and drilled holes and files them smooth. Now, the sticks stick thru the holes slightly and everything fits nice and snug. I also cut some thin foam liners for the top part of the case so the cars and bodies don't rattle around so much and it looks really nice. I even painted the inside of the ZipZap lettering on the cover. Geeking out here.

The control sticks I made only stick up about an extra .5 inch. Hope this helps you, good luck.
