Tire Truer to fit dNaNo

Would the Hudy Mini-Z tire truer fit the dNaNo's (somehow I doubt it) ...or would I be better off with the Hudy slot car tire truer which does 1/8th and 3/32 axles?

I now have the blank foam for making the tires ... need to Dremel out the centers and then true them.

Also, can someone let me know the diameter of dNaNo hub or axle so I can speak to Hudy and see if this would work ...I'm sure someone could fashion the appropriate adapter.

This is for testing the dNaNo on various types of carpet ...a project I'm now working on.

I have the mini-z size hudy truer. It is free for anyone to use at the track.

To use with dnano would require someone to machine an adapter. I can provide more info once my 1st dnano arrives from Kyosho.

would you post the part # of the Hudy tire truer.
can you mount front / rear Mini-Z wheels on the truer ? or do you mount a
rear Mini-Z wheel and true the front / rear tire on the same wheel ?

Not sure of your question(s). Tire Truers are for mounted foam tires usually. Mounted foam tires means gluing the foam tire unto the plastic rim. I had used it to wear down new rubber tires so that grip would be better but really it was a quick fix thing. You wouldn't normally use the machine with a rubber tire.

This machine only works with the MR-02 rims out of the box. There was somebody in the mini-zracer.com forums that was going to make an AWD adapter, but most ppl backed out and he decided not to do it.

To use it, you pull off the end of the adapter, put the rim (one at a time, front/rear doesn't matter- you need to remove any bushings or bearings from the wheel first) onto the part of the adapter that is still attached to the machine and then put the end of the adapter back on. Start up the machine and then adjust screw to stop at the desired diameter that you want. This usually requires lots of starts and restarts to make sure you're down to the proper diameter that you want. Then once you're done the first tire, the 2nd is easy as you'll already adjusted the screw.
