The wheels really do set the Porsche off.I like the looks of the aluminum wheels on the Lambo too,but does it not add too much weight?

I haven't noticed much weight. I can weight them if you'd like. Those were the very rare and special German-made AVM wheels that were available on ebay a while ago. Have not seen them available since then. But now we have the Aluma-Tech wheels and I'm thinking of getting a set of those. Particularly interested in their dish-style wheels for my upcoming Countach.
It's nice having different wheels on different cars. Having too many wheels the same starts to look generic! LOL!
So when the Countach arrives, I'll have to get those Aluma-Tech dish's.
The PN tires is really what makes them look good. With the stock tires, the wheels look too large, well actually the tires look too small as if they were made for something else. So PN's are highly recommended!

One small thing I noticed about the Porsche, is that the rear wheels don't seem to be perfectly centered with the wheel-well opening's. Only when the suspension is compressed do they line up right.

I'm still trying to get a set of the alloy's for use with the stock chassis tires. I'd like to find two styles, the 5-stars for the Porsche, and the dish-type for the Countach. At Real-Tracks web sites, the only ones I can order are for the AutoScale tires, which I don't want.

The Countach is on it's way. As for the F40, I'm waiting for the yellow one to become available. I might be getting a Lancia Delta model for a project I'm cooking up soon and I think the Delta will be perfect fit for it.
Other three on my list is a yellow Modena, the black Mclaren F1, and a silver Audi R8. Then eventually I'll get the three Le Man's cars. I also love the Porsche! It's perfect at every angle!

Here's what I got in the mail today! Dnano number four! The Lamborghini Countach LP 500s!

And now, the four of them together! Subaru WRC WRX, Lamborghini Murcielago, Porsche 911 GT3, and Lamborghini Countach. The Countach is definitely going to need those Centerline alloy wheels from Aluma-Tech!

does anyone have a side by side picture of the track width differences between an Porsch GT3 and a F40 ?

I noticed the F40 used #7 rear hubs while the porsche used #1 hubs. Is the car really that much narrower?

do you have a top view shot of your porsche w/out the body?
- I am trying to decide between that or an audi R8 (to replace the F40 body and sell it)

I can take one some time this weekend. The Porsche 911 is short, but the 917 is shortest. You can not directly replace the body, you have to have special parts for the specific body that you are replacing with.

Sweet F-40! Should definitely look into Aluma-Tech 5-stars for that F-40 along with PN tires.
I'm looking forward to the yellow version!

Hey guys.

New to dnanos but not the scene.

Was planning on keeping only 2, but
since the 03 is coming out, I don't think
they'd sell easy. Will probably end up
keeping all of them...

I'd have to agree with mk2.

These things are ballistic stock and
a whole lot easier to drive with gyros.

Alot of the ascs look more to scale as well.

Some notes:

Harder plates on carpet is a must. And get
rid of the transponder tag if you run on carpet.

The K ball diff and atm aren't very consistent due
to their designs...

I've had better results running everything stock
and the gear diff with 30k K diff grease. Only mod
I'd probably run now is the hubs...

I love my fully loaded 911, but the new f40 I just
finished kicks it's behind with just a greased gear
diff and bearings lol.

Will get some colored gunmetal, gold, and black,
wheels in when I make my next buy.
