i think the gallardo should handle much like the mclaren. there is a major handling difference from one model variation extreme to another and yes, i agree that choosing which one is best for you will be based on your driving style. if you can, try them before you buy them. the mini-z has different chassis types just like the dnano but the step towards making the car more like the real car with various wheelbases & track widths sets the dnano light years ahead of any other r/c model (btw, i project the dbr9 will be an MM chassis, its Mini-Z counterpart is made for MM)

My favorite Dnano right now is the 917K bodied car which to my dismay is an RM chassis. I'm going to have to live with it cause I really like the body. The 962's and 787B's would be my next choices.
My entire Z fleet is MM. I never could get a feel for the RM cars. My skill level is higher now so maybe an RM Dnano will be manageable.

rm chassis is ideal for racing, if you're just into the beauty, MM is where its at IMO (i'll race with the 911, cruise with the 787). the 917k is probably THE best dnano for racing so hop it up & give it a chance before you dismiss it

I have every intent on using the living daylites out of it. If you can't race it then what's the point. I can see having certain bodies as shelf queens just for the beauty of it but usually there is one with the mirrors beat off of it in the race box as well. Hopefully Kyosho will get aroind to putting out white bodies in this scale so I can do my own. As it is now I would have to use a $50 plus ASC to create my favorite Gulf 917K/L movie car.

I've said this before, it's always good to have two bodies of each model. One to race, and one to keep minty fresh.

at thier price, no thanks. i go into the purchase knowing full well it's going to get abused and not about to waste valuable expenses duplicating/collecting dnano autoscales. i'd rather spend the money on a gyro for example than a 2nd body to look at.

I hear yea on the price thing arch. I guess it made more sense with the Mini-Z AutoScales as they were more reasonable. I don't know why the Dnano's are more expensive body wise since their smaller. The chassis, sure I can see the price for that, but bodies?
I guess I've been lucky with mine as I haven't had any damages to them yet. Then again, I haven't been in any serious races with them either!

Arch, steady up on the gyro. It's a great idea on RCP with a wider longer track but on the HT fuzz where there are a lot of quick left right transitions the gyro seems to deaden the car by trying to stabilize it.

I'll second that on the Gulf car! I know somebody that can help with the decals.

The flyer I picked up in Mooresville the other week actually shows a Gulf car to the right of the Martini car in the shadows.Granted it's not the 20' but close enough.I wonder if it is real or a prop?If it is real how soon will it be available to us?

I've seen the silver 911 available for purchase right now at Hobby Link Japan. Reasonably priced I might add. No, this is not the same Hobby Japan I keep mentioning from ebay and they are not related. H.L.J.
Kind of wish I saw the silver one before purchasing the white one, it's nice in silver! But, I love white cars so I'll be happy.

If it is anything like the silver on the Martini Porsche 917 then that is a keeper. I have to say in person that silver is brilliant, bright, and very easy to see. Good for us older guys with failing eyesight
