Pairing with a non kyosho transmitter

Hi Guys,
I was wondering whether it is possible to use a different transmitter with the Dnano. I have a futaba 3pk with the 2.4 GHZ FAAST module and I am wondering whether this will work with the Dnano?? I am looking to buy a complete Dnano set but maybe I don't need to.

Any thoughts???

Martin

If you have a Futaba 3PK, you can buy the KO PROPO ASF Mini-Z module, and the PN adapter, and use it with your dNaNo, but you can't use a FASST module with the dNaNo.

I'll see if I can't find links. Give me a minute.

True, but to me it's worth it as I don't need another transmitter laying around the house, and being able to use my KO PROPO EX-1 UR is a also big plus.

i want the module for personal use... most of our customers will be new buyers so i don't see a need to 'stock' it yet. the only real need for it in my opinion is when u plan on using several models with one radio

I was really hoping that the 3pk with the 2.4ghz FAAST module will just work. Having to change modules for each model defeats the purpose. Getting the kyosho transmitter does not cost much more than a module for the 3pk. I might just keep it simple and stick with kyosho :-)

Cheers

Switching modules doesn't take hardly any time, plus you'll have much more adjustability at your disposal with your 3PK. The KT-18 works fine, but why spend more money for KT-18 when you can have more adjustability, in the module, for less?

why spend $80 for the kt-18 when you can get the module necessary? would you rather carry two transmitters than take 4 seconds to change the module? wouldn't the added features of the higher quality tx also be a big selling point?

i don't know too many people happy with the kt-18. the early models with the mini-z were rife with quality issues that effected performance. i'm assuming since we do not see the same complaints here that they have corrected the problems since then.

nothing wrong with the kt-18... only issue is it doesn't support saved settings for different models. again, that would be my only point for using the KO module. if i DO get the KO module, then i'll used my Airtronics M11... that would be hot!
