I would say it's still quiet strong ... so far I have only worked with the 0.3mm material as it was strong enough for my needs. 0.5 is almost a bit thick.

ah ok then, the 0.3mm brass sounds good enough.
Let us know when you get home what parts you have.
Thanks for your help

Hi Marcus,
I have a rest piece of about 20 x 15cm of 0,3mm brass that I could send you.
My spare MAN 5to has died
I don't know how, but my kids got hold of it somehow ... and although it's a tough military truck, made for war and hard environment conditions, there was no chance to survive the treatment of two young girls who used it as a barbie transporter ...
There are only two tires left ... the rest ended up in smoke.
So let me know if you just want the piece of brass (which would be no hell of a lot for a sending) or if I should get something else ...

I was thinking maybe it would be better if you could order some parts from lemo-solar to be sent to me and i pay you to pay them? As they do ship items internationally but they dont accept paypal? If you can understand what i just said then you are better at english than me
Thanks

Hi Marcus,
I understand what you mean (it's not too difficult :-), and I agree to your plan, no problem.
But let me ask a silly question: How do you plan to send me the money? In a way that's not accepted by Lemo Solar? I could just imagine that an international bank transfer is a bit more expensive than sending some bank notes by mail ... is it that what you are planning?
Let me know. The "how to" is up to you, and I'll help you in any way.

Hi marcus,
Yes I have an account, but so far I have only used it to pay on ebay.
I just had a look, and I can also use it to recieve money. That costs for me 1,9% (of the amount that should be transferred) plus 0,35EUR. So that's fine with me, if you take the Paypal costs.

hi Marcus,
I was looking at the lemo solar web site. Your material would cost 12,08 EUR. The shipping costs to England are not specified. I called Mr. Lehnert and he couldn't give me the exact shipping fee (but he said it would be under 20 EUR).
He also said that you only get the exact shipping costs within an advance invoice for the order that must be payed in advance (for orders from abroad).
Regarding the value of the material and the shipping costs (almost 20 EUR) I suggest the following: I'll make the order and let it send to me and I'll pay for the shipping (because I would order some more stuff for me too).
When the material has arrived, I'll send it straight to you with the cheapest possibility. That would be 4,50 EUR, but with the handicap, that the 500mm profiles must be cut in the middle because of the maximum length of the parcel. The next steep in shipping costs would be 8,60 EUR with no need to cut the material. Both ways are not insured and last 5-7 days. If you want an insured shipment, you can order straight from Lemo Solar as it costs about 16 EUR.
confusion complete?

Hi Jochen,
Yep i am confused. Only joking!! i understood everthing.
Its all fine by me and it would be better if you cut the 500mm profiles into two as no TTTT truck is gonna be that BIG!!
So altogether my order should cost 17 to 18 Euros?
Just out of curiosity what are you buying from lemo-solar? Is it some parts for the MAN 630 build?
Thanks for your help,
Marcus

Yes, I'll order a piece of sqaure brass 10x10mm, round brass 6mm (for wheels), and some of the same things like you.
So can I go and make the order now? We can deal with the paypal stuff in the meantime ...
