Gear mesh noise only when cover is on?

Greetings,

I have run about 4 packs through my micro t. I took off the gear cover because I had a whine that sounded like an overly tight gear mesh. I fixed it and it sounded great. However, when I put the cover back on, I hear a whine again. Any ideas?

Sounds like you might be over-tightening the cover screws.

There's been a LOT of reports of the cover screws coming from the factory overly tight and thereby causing the gears to whine....Hopefully it's that simple for you and you just need to loosen the cover screws a little.

Good luck.
