Like a new car
I bought an Xmod Firebird a while ago, and was having trouble with it. It would work, and then stop working. I had a bunch of upgrades on it stage 2 motor, awd, lift kit, lights, bearings, body kit. I was going to take it back to RS to exchange it, so I removed all the upgrades. While I was at it, I decided to tear it apart, just to take a look, and found the cause of my problems. The positive wire from the battery had broken loose from the pcb. So I fixed that problem, but I kept the car stock, just in case it had other problems. I ran it for a few days, and it ran like a champ.
In the meantime, I had swapped the bearings and the motor to the Hummmer I also have, which has been a lot of fun playing in the dirt with. I had also ordered a LiPo pack for the Hummer which came in.
I decided to install the LiPo pack on the Firebird, and finally figured out how to install the big rear wheels from the body kit on the Firebird. This thing is a lot of fun now. The big rear wheels give me enough clearance to where I can run it outside on the street now, and give me extra traction inside. The LiPo's make this thing scream now. I can now make this car flip (even though I don't want to), so I have to learn to drive it now. I'm learning a lot from just reading the past posts on this site. Thanks to all who have put up a lot of good info, it has helped me a lot. I'm having all kinds of fun with my cars now.
