Killer,
I noticed that on some of your trucks (especially the one with 6X6 drive) you have used some worm and worm gears. I am curious to know how did you managed to get hold of them. Also, which servo gear set do you normally use? I have a big lot of stripped gear from my HS81 micro servos (that is what happens when you crash helicopters, a lot of broken parts pile up at your home ) But there aren't really small.

most of the parts on my truck are soldered on the main chassis, i preferred worm gears because it act as a brake when the truck is going downhill and has a very low ratio.. i use a picco micro servo gearsets, the idler gear and the gear connected to the motor pinion.

OT:
@billy bob, yup weather here is pretty nice!, you must have stayed at either Bayview Park Hotel or at Hyatt!.. if you have a chance to visit sometime again here perhaps i could show you some of my trucks!
@kalkurap, i use worm gear on 1/87 scale only to save space on the tiny truck, low gear ratio is very easy to attain using worm gear but even an ant could outrun your truck!, but it is quite easy on your electronics.
brass gears of that size (for 1/87 trucks) are non-existing here unless i ordered on the net, which i preffer not to because just for the price it, this may force my wife to kill me! hehehe,

killer, you got it, now that you say the name, it was the bayview. VERY nice place for the money *compared* to what the same money buys here in the states. we'll definately keep the invite in mind, hopefully we'll be over there in the next year or so. hard to tell at this time. if you ever end up on the eastern side of the us, look me up too.
how much do those gears cost you over there killer? still not having a lot of luck finding small gears here. got some i could *make* work but i probably wouldnt be happy with the end results. would you be interested in exporting a couple sets for me maybe? be more than happy to pay all expenses.
thanks
