mystery motor, will this fit my x-truck???
i found a motor off a tiny fan and was pondering upon it for a while. and then it came to me...
i wanted to put this oversized motor on my x-truck for even more torque!!! i was just wondering whether or not anyone can tell me what size it is and where i can get brushes/neo magnets for it. i suppose this is a slow turn motor since its for a tiny fan, which can thave more than 10,000 RPM. it is about the same size as the SSMT motor except round and with different brushes, but it still uses the same contact style as the SSMT motor.
i can adapt my xmod motor housing to fit this motor, but i gotta figure out whether or not it will rub on the body shell due to it being bigger than stock.
so anyone got any help....???

i wouldnt say its a mystery motor, and good luck adapting an oversized motor. remeber the gears have to mesh, so u would hve to cut away the perfect amount of plasticand u cant go back.i also doubt its that great of a motor but i could be wrong

yea i was thinking about that through school today....i was thinking instead of this really hard mod, just put a lemo-solar motor in it and vuola. i have to contact some family in Italy to see if thy can bring it to me when they come to visit, since they dont ship to the U.S. (i hope they ship to italy.)
but i was also thinking a lemo-solar motor might be just too slow for my liking, so i am gonna start with an open-end ball bearing motor can, some neo magnets, and a slow motor, and also the torque gearing for the xmods, not that crappy radio shack 8/25, but a modified 6/33. i hope that gives it enough torque............... do you think i should put a capacitor on it? i am still not too convinced by those things...

ok, this is the question asked a million times....LOL, no matter, i never get tired of saying it.
ok, when you get a chance, go by walgreens/CVS (where i found them) and buy a new bright stomper truck with huge tires V treaded tires and normally either a hummer H3 body or i think F-150. anyways, there like 6 or 7 bucks. anyways, rip it apart and somewhere in the tranny, it will be there.
the 6 tooth pinion, well i got it from an optional mini-z kit, i think its called delrin pinion. all i know its an "upgrade" kit from kyosho. look for it in the mini-z mr-02 in the motor upgrades section. it comes with like 4 pinion, i think 6,7,8,9, and maybe 10, but you only need the six for this mod. this kit is like 5 or 6 bucks too.
this project will come out to be around 10 to 12 bucks, and is WAY worth it!!! it will reduce your speed (duh,) but it will increase low end torque by at least 3 or 4 times the original force.
