Need info for crawler
I am thinking about getting the F-150 but am not sure if it will make a good crawler. Some people say that Xmods aren't good crawlers.Should I get one or just get a Firebird?

To make an xmod a crawler, your going to have to bust your butt...but im doing it, i am doing a front pivot system (same as rear, for more suspension travel) and adapting a servo as a motor for lots of torque, not to go into details. ive had to do tons of work. i would recomend either a superslicks monster truck or a zap toys mini crusher, since they are solid front and rear rigid axle and central motor.
Actually, they all need some moderate modification to actually crawl, the only reason im doing this on my H2 is because i already have the other 2 modded for crawling, i just want a tiny realistic crawler, with a winch and bullbars!!!!
anyways, i dont suggest it, but it can be done, it just takes lots of work!

a crawler is a prep up 4x4 that is made to go over really step rocks very slowly, that way you have maximum grip and can manuever, most of the time crawlers are multitasker, where the person who builds them use them on sand, mud, rock, hills, dirt, pretty much any off road terrain. about the sleeper, i dont know what your talking about.

a sleeper is a car that has been modded heavely or tuned to preform well that is desguized as a stock car or a car with out alot of body work. so a sleeper may have a superchager, exhaust, new engine parts but there wont be a big wing on the back, dubs, or racing stripes or a new paint job. so when they pull up to someone else with a car that is obviously faster then theirs if it was stock they will get all happy and want to race, but when they do they get blown away by the sleeper and it's an embarrasing thing to get beat by a civic while ur in ur mustang lol.

Not sure how the term "sleeper" got brought into this...but. A sleeper is a common run of the mill vehicle that you would not take notice of. But, under the hood is a high displacement motor and running gears that make it a formitable racing foe. Sleeper just means it's a very strong, fast vehicle, but doesn't look like it on the outside.

I have been using my xmod on my track that I made but the tires just spin out. What upgrade should I get next? The offroad upgrade or AWD.(What one would give me enough traction to ride on loose dirt.)

but what does the offroad upgrade do? I know it raises your trucks height but how much better traction does it give the truck.

it's called a lift kit. it raises the chassis up higher for more ground clearence in the middle and it comes with bigger tires so u can go over bigger obstacles.
