Drift Setup

What is the best set up for drifting on smooth cement floor or hard wood floor? This is what i have:

Evo Lancer
AWD
Suspension upgrade
Tire upgrade
Stage 2 motor

(i dont want to use electrical tape. And can you go into detail about what I should use. ex: what pinion to put my motor at etc...)

hi, in drifting you want the most oversteer right??? so what i suggest is putting the stiffest springs in the back and the softest springs in the front, lower the chassis and the body as much as posible, almost scraping the ground. you also want very high torque, use the smallest pinion and biggest second gear along with a wet-break in motor with neodyum magnets. another thing you should do is take out the awd, that way there is less stability and more oversteer. you also want to reduce friction the least posible, use bearings and alloy knuckles and such, pretty much anything that has to do with the turning and actual moving of the car should be alloy as smooth as posible. you also want the tie rod with the most toe-in i think its 4.5*. you may want to pick up some ridgeless rims with drift tires, do not put the 11mm offet in the back!(more stabily, BAD for drifting) also do not use the wider axle stubs in the back (BAD for drifting!)
anyways heres a summary in case you dont want to read:
-high torque motor
-lower gearing
-drifting tires
-lowering body and chassis
-stiff back springs and soft front springs
-no awd, the less stable, the better, but dont think making the body higher will help.
-least friction posible, bearings and alloy
-oh and one more thing, lock the rear differential!

anyways, hope this helps, altough im not a pro i got some experince so dont come to me dissing me or anything if i said something wrong!

i am using the hard slicks from the tire upgrade kit from RS on the rear, the lowering kit (i have to raise it when on asphalt or concrete cuz it gets chewed up), the hard tread tires from RS on the front, stiff springs on the rear and soft springs on the front, stage 2 kit with 8-25 gearing, and AWD kit, all metal bearings, i didn't change the steering arm because it turns sharp enough i think, and don't forget the underbidy lights hahaha. On wood flooring it kicks a$$ on asphalt and concrete it takes a lil skill to kick the rear end out but u can. Oh and i have the Lancer

Guys, why wasn't more cells put on the list. Many, I get my 6 cells to break loose with most tires at will, with the high gearing. With the hard slicks, always.

All that alloy stuff isn't necessary, especially not with the cost. Another recommendation I would make is to put a push button switch in the handle of the remote to put the car in "high throttle" whenever it's pressed. Keep the car in low, enter a trun, press the button and break her loose.

All that other advice is good, if you want to spend all the money, I'm more for cheap fun.

instead of using the high and low push button, you could just hold the throttle less and hit it around the turn....
and the only reason i spent the $$ is cuz i got it hella cheap at a closing store

You know, you might think it's that easy to just do partial throttle around turns and such.... but try a push-button switch and you'll be much happier, I promise.

I have a reverse one made that switches it into "Low" when pressed. It's great when coming into tighter corners, acts like brake. It's better control, the ass doesn't swing around near as much.
