for some reason I cant use the purple motor or the orange upgrade motor in my new zip zap. I just got it today its the dodge viper

I'm not sure which motor connfiguration came in your Viper, but I suspect it's the new square endbell motors and the new heatsink with the extra tab. It could be that your upgrade motors are old tech and the contact points don't mesh properly. If this is the case, you could try hard wiring them in or otherwise altering the old motors to work in the newer chassis.
With the added power that the newer cars have, the purple motor should scream if you can get it hooked up properly.

thanks for responding but the viper came with the the blue gears and red motor with the circle on the bottom but i found some even older motors and they seem to work great other than a little whinning

Are you using the motor clip that has that extra piece that slides underneath the motor? If you don't switch motor clips, they don't work.
