Hey, i bought a mini z motor from a hobby shop and im wondering if its gonna fry the fets on my evo. They didnt have any xmod stuff so i didnt have much of a choice. Its a x-speed motor. If it is compatable is it any faster then a stage 2?

jeeez, its hard to find help on this forum, and the search doesnt always do its job. Well just to let everyone kno, Yes a X-Speed mini-z motor workx fine in a 6 cell evo. I did see a little performance boost compared to the stage 2 i was using. The fron wheels almost get off the ground . . .and it has awd!!! it would pop little standing wheelies if i had rwd on it.

It can be better with a BB can on it. The link is a little how to on installing it, that I put together. The can is a PN racing can.

Here's the can I used. You will need to reuse your brushes, so be very careful with them.

thx, mucho appreciated. One question though, with the new bb case, will i have to modify the chasis for it to fit? or is this new case compatable to fit.

It is a standard 130 size can, so it should fit right in.

I posted a link to the one I put together above. I did a few of them, you should be fine with the proper tools. I was scared with the first one I did, afterward I was like that's nothing. Those small screwdrivers are very useful with this. I use that to spread the brush pads out just enough to fit around the comutator when putting it back together.
