Flux? Wouldnt you use solder with flux in it? You can get it at Radio Shack.

you mean where to buy flux. at a hardware store, maybe not radio shack though. even if you have solder with flux it's not as good as putting real flux on, it just helps a lot.
and don't forget to tin the wires, it makes it much easyer to solder.

i used a RED ZIP ZAP MOTOR. just solder leads onto it and put it in. you will either have to drill a hole or cut the pcb cover so the motor will fit because the motor is longer. Don't forget to change the pinnion gears too, make sure you put the pinnion gear that is on the stock motor onto the new motor.

That's exactly how I did mine. except I used the newer square motors.
Rad Shmack sells an entire soldering kit for less than 10 bucks!
If you are getting started with soldering, get this kit:

Why not use rosin core solder its only a tiny zipzap with like no electricity. Usually people only use extra flux on real remote control cars when they have a very high amp draw motor and good batteries. Flux is way over kill on something tiny like this.

Forget the flux, okay?
Just use rosin core solder.
I thought the links I posted would have helped, but...

Dont worry most of us waste alot of them. I have bought 2 zipzaps, which are both in parts and pieces, one zipzap se that dosnt work and a zipzap mt that is missing a part.

way better steering
i have a red, blue and green Zip Zap motor sitting around. Which would offer the most improvement in steering, and the least drain on the batteries?

None of them will but the blue sucks the batteries less but I would recomend doing this mod it slows down your truck in no time when you steer.
