Finally my Athearn springs arrive!
(what, like 45 min after my last post? )

Wow, it was worth the wait! Just the right amount of springiness too.

I won't subject you to another photo, but you could say that THIS Herbie is fully, um er...very well equipped!

about how long does your battery life last on that thing.

Battery life isn't great. Probably about 3/4 or less the usual running time due to the motor spinning more and the added current draw of the upgraded steering motor.

what you need to do is give herbie the articulation mod found at http://www.bitpimp.lixlink.com/pages...pic.php?t=6991

That will turn him into a real crawler.

I dunno, from what I've seen it's incredibly difficult to do that mod without the two reulting secions being all wibbly-wobbly.

The other question I have is about what happens when one half's wheels stall. Wouldn't it tend to spin the other half?

I have some articulation ideas tho.
I'll post em here of course.
