Gearing Question for everyone.

Howdy,
I got an Evo F-150 for Christmas and some upgrades for it too. I got the Stage 2 Motor upgrade, 4x4 upgrade and suspention lift. Well I have been toying with the gearing options and started wondering what most of you are using with the off-road kit and 4x4. The reason I'm asking is because I'm not really happy with the torque I'm getting out of my truck. It's climbing ability is not what I think it should be. So any help you guys could give me would be great. I'm not new to R/C either. I have 2 Traxxas Stampedes and a T-Maxx also so I know a little about R/C. So Thanks in advance.

Then you should know to go to biggest spur, and lowest pinon.

Gearing Question for everyone.

Yes I do know that, and have done that with my truck. I'm still not happy with the torque of it. It has no torque to move itself over an object from a standing start. I'm going to have to find a motor with better torque to get the results I want. Thanks for the reply.

a stock armiture will have the most torque fof ant, all the upgraded motors with higher RPM do so at a sacrificed torque. I am putting together a motor with a Squat ball bearing motor can, a stock armiture, and neodymium magnets, should be the best torque possible with a 130 size, short of rewinding with tiny wire. oh and don't try neo magnets with high speed motors, it takes alot of initial torque to get it spinning (they won't kick over on their own oftin times) with no load but once it gets going it has decent torque.

Well thats what I was thinking of looking at doing. I was looking at another site and thinking of getting a BB Can and a set of Neo magnets to build a motor with more torque. I have several 130 size motors around from when I was younger and had battery powered cars and 4x4's. So thanks for the info. Later
