Thanks
they are from TTTT-Parts.org
Peter Stohr
the rear axle has a 1:228 ratio
and I used the PCB out of a GWS servo as a speedcontoller
the Rx is a de-cased GWS four channel...(75MHz.. so I'm using my M8... )

well all is not joy and happiness today... the little 4-cell battery pack that I use in my TTTT truck is no good.... when I plug in the steering servo, it steers fine...when I plug in the ESC, it runs cleanly... when I have them both plugged in...the truck shakes and shudders and jerks around like it's having an epileptic seizure..... I took the 3.7v lipo pack out of my Canon SD400 camera and touched some connectors on it and attached it to the truck and it ran fine...less voltage....runs great...four mini cells 4.8v...runs like crap... my guess is that the 4-cell isn't putting out enough amperage...either way... I can't run my truck until I get something different....not happy
so I ordered a couple of single 170mAh LiPo cells... these are the exact size to fill the empty space in the bed of my truck (24mmx19mmx4mm...so hopefully they will work)
I was really hoping to be driving the heck out my truck,... but there seems to be another setback....oh well

I decided to experiment a little.....
MONSTER MAN!!
works great... the big tires aren't as soft as the herpa off-road ones I had on it before, but since I don't have any "real" terrain I can't tell how they will work... but the truck DOES move, steer, and articulate with no real rubbing...and there is more ground clearance...
Just need those LiPo cells now...

Man that thing looks awsome! Looks like it would work really well with those monster tires. Man I wanna see that thing run. Nate and I will have to come and check it out sometime.

I took the monster tires off because they aren't as grippy as the smaller truck tires I have... but in the proecss of pulling off the wheels... I messed up my 1:228 axle
so now I have to send it back to Germany to have it repaired...
on a lighter note... I had already started on another truck using the Lemo Solar block motor, and now THAT one is running great... it's a lot faster than the other gearbox... but I can feather the throttle and get it to climb anyway and it's really cool
I may use the monster tires again in the near future... as I wasn't running it on any "terrain"... on formica and magazine covers they just didn't seem as grippy... but on real terrain they might work great.... but I figured if the tires can grip on slippery surfaces... then "terrain" wouldn't be an issue
The one on the left is my backup TTTT Truck.. the one on the right is the one that the axle is out for repair:

more good news... I found a local source for single cell 145mAh Lipo cells so i bought four this past Sunday (today's Wednesday).... and they work and fit great!! (see above pic)
also the two cells I ordered came in today... and they are 170mAh and they fit as well... so now I have 6 LiPo cells and they all fit and work...yay!
