The chassis is based off of the stock geometry, so I would say there is no problem using the stock top front plate.........
FREAK, got some mail going out to you Tuesday!

soo any updates on the mod upgrade order or will there not be a mod upgrade order? i soo wanna run 4AAA's lain flat on the chassis.
i tried making my own upper deck.it turned out ok but it would be better if the mod upgrades would be sold again because i need something to hold the servo down and of course... carbon fiber is much better than plastic.lol

In the works, negotiating with the shop.........black CF only.........
RED TEX and Silver TEX may not be available in the shop, but if the shop doesn't take them, I'll make some other arrangement.......only 15-20 sets availble in each color........Z (06/19/05)

Want to know do I just have to buy the Zero Products XMODS X-Plus PRO-Mod Pan Chassis v1 ?? the Zero Products website says I need to by the pro stock chassis then upgrade to the mod pan chassis. I'm a little confused.

Last time I was looking, the pro mod was a 12 dollar add-on to the stock chassis that turned it into a pan-style chassis.

You must have the stock kit to go to the pro mod...the pro mod contains th hardware kit, battery hold down brace for cells laid flat on the stock chassis, and the mod servo brace to hold the aftermarket servo. The pro upgrade only works with aftermarket electronics, NOT STOCK ELECTRONICS.
And here is, most likely, the last pro-mod upgrade order that we will do, 10 of each color will be available as I am shipping them to the shop 07/06/05.

So I need stock kit + pro mod kit to make it work for aftermarket eletronics.
Or I could JUST get the Pan chassis kit only and use that? I'm aware of the need for aftermarket eletronics.

ph2t: will you be using li-ion/li-polys or 4 cells ni-mh? i think that the pro-pan chassis is ideal for using li-poly/li-ion and the pro-stock chassis with pro-mod upgrade is ideal for 4cell AAA batteries but you can fit li-polys under the upper deck if they were small enough. both chassis hold aftermarket electronics if their small enough.the only difference is that the pro-stock with pro-mod has an upper deck/brace that can hold the batteries down so that they are interchangeable but the pro-pan chassis is just a pan chassis where you have to double-sided tape everything to stay.
i hope this clears a few things up.

Just got my chassis together and have a small problem, whenever i tighten the screw on the front axle bering support it binds pretty badly, other than that it's all good.
*edit, and yes i shimmed the rear properly.
