New aluminum rim small review.TOPCAD
New aluminum rim review these things are tight same size as mini-z rims the offset is just right I give them a 10 out of 10.
Are they worth $30? I dont think so, but would I buy another pair yep. now I just need some mini-z tires because xmod tires will slide right off.

Now if Topcad would start making other alloy parts to compete with GPM.

Let's see, he has a brushless motor and ESC as well as a CF chassis. I would say that xmod is worth much more than $50.
?Jon.jon any reason you didn't go with a Mamba package It looks like you are using a Feigao motor. What ESC are you using?

Topcad and GPM competing, that would be nice because Im sure prices would drop.
You guessed it it is a figao. I didnt want to use the whole Mamba setup because the Mambe motors pull way too much current for just this little setup. Some have used li-polys to fix the problem but I went with 3 li-ions and a brushless motor that pulls less current but still performs like the big dogs. But I am using the Mamba ESC with the Figao motor.

jon.jon,
Am I seeing correctly that the rear rims are wider than the front rims? It didn't seem to mention this when I ordered mine but from your pics it looks that way. I hope they are. How long did it take you to get them from dinball/rcmart after you ordered?
Thanks,

Yep the rear is wider than the stock wheel and the front is narrower than stock its hard to tell from the picture up there.
Normal shipping takes at least a week or two. I was thinking of getting another set but I need tires for my first set .

it's probably the same 8.5mm front and 11mm rear wheel dimernsions as the mini-z wheel. this is a good thing as it will open up the huge line of mini-z tires that are available

Getting access to a larger selection of tire compounds was my main reason for buying them. Sweet..

The only downside I see is that these are the same size as the Mini Z wheels. Of course it lowers the car for better handling, but the Xmods have very little clearance to begain with. With that said when you hit a corner in a lowered car and the chassis hits the ground it spins out. I am looking for an inch up type soon.
Last question, would the TinyRC shop be looking into stocking these?

I'm running Mini-Z wheels on the back of mine, and I notice no drop in back (I use foams, but with rubber tires there's no change either:
Mine also uses the Tiny RC chassis.
