You can cut it with a dremel, but I will be using a scroll saw. I doubt Zero would care if I sent you the DWG file. Like you said, he posted alot of pictures, but I just want to make sure to not step on his toes.
I have no problem posting the pictures if I hear back from him.
I just purchased a dial caliper to double check my measurements and they seem spot on.

Post away!!!!!!!
Guys, when I was doing proto work, I used diamond cut-off wheels, about the size of the useless emory discs in the dremel kits but not as big as the fiber re-inforced discs. They cut very well and I have yet to wear the first disc out, oh, and they are super thin like the emory discs, helps you to get into those tight corners

I would be interested in that file for the CF chassis. I stink with mesuring and if i can print out a template i might be able to make it work. I actualy have chrome plexiglass for the material. it will look sweet and if i put lights inside the chassis they will shine throught the frame

I'll host the file from my site as soon as I can. Just finished building my work bench. I had the kid at Lowes cut the wood as I only have a circular saw for cutting lumber. Bastard didn't cut any the same length was hell building it. I need to sand the crap out of it and use shims on the lower shelf to level it out.
Sorry for getting off topic that's my way of saying I've been busy . Damn netstorage site has been down all day and I need it to upload files to my site.

Just finished the single top plate and steering plate. The top plate doesn't have any cut outs as I don't plane on using stock electronics. It's simply a copy of the bottom pan with additional holes for the rear suspension towers.
Still trying to get the rounded parts of the steering plate created. Might just have to create those lines by hand.

Im still pretty confused on this whole aftermarket reciever bit. I have an Airtronics 75mhz AM radio (why its AM over FM, I have no idea) but I cant find any micro sized recievers for a 75mhz AM radio. If they arent 72mhz, then they are FM. I looked at the gws's, berg, Hitec, even the shadow 1's. Only one that has something similar is Novaks micro reciever, but even that is kind of large in comparission to an xmod. Can anyone reccomend a reciever? I dont want to get another radio as this one was 250 and Iv been using it for about 2-3 years. Thanks all, I appreciate your time and help

Micro sized receivers are usually for aircraft and as such they need a better radio system with better interference resistance, which you get with FM. AM is restricted to ground and there are not many micro receivers for ground use as weight usually isn’t an issue.

thanks for clearing that up...I have always wondered that. Just for a concrete yes/no answer, a AM radio cannot be used with a FM receiver. I really dont want to get another radio, as this was supposed to be my 'affordable' hobby away from racing trucks. hmmm, any advice is more than welcome!

no can do, perhaps there is some super-duper high end model that can do it all, but I'm not sure.

if i run the lithium batteries and the novak SPY esc, do you think I could squeeze this receiver under the body of a supra?

Im sure my radio is a bit dated by now, but this was intented to be a rather inexpensive hobby away from rc racing, miniature building and painting, on top of my paintball team and other assorted (exceptionally expensive) hobbies. Of course as soon as i bought the damn car, I looked up every mod I could online and now Im expecting to spend roughly 500 for the whole complete car (including price of the car itself) Im destined for food stamps I think

It might, repeat might, fit if the case is removed and shrink wrapped..........the XXL is small by 1/10 standards but not as small as the GWS receivers
Smaller can be much more expensive than larger scales

Zero,
Where did you find a 2-56 countersink drill bit? Or what size drill bit did you use to make the countersink holes.

all the kits sold here are CnC'd.............
when I prototyped, I used a pin vise and a drill bit to carefully countersink. If you are heavy handed you will get a bit sized hole instead of the countersink
