I have a simple question for anyone who knows: What is a booster car? Is it a third chanel for a boost... does it come with the car or do you have to mod one for it? ive tried making reverse do it, but i cant find the right resistor value to make two speeds work right. I need that info too.
All i have is a z-car and a cheap clone from pep-boys. The two pcbs are comletely different... the z-car seems to have new tech in it - the motor is connected oddly in the center, not using the solder tabs on the side, it also has more diodes and an extra capacitor... i think this board can handle a lot of V+ compared to others... i tried a dual cell convert with stock cells and a stock motor (green). it went fast but took it a while to get there.
I might just lay the pcb on its side and put three cells upright in the chassis so it would fit in the body and im also working on making full propo using two 556 chips. place a pot in place of the "on time" resistor for more or less... and just simple contacts for all on and all off. it might work...
anyway i attatched the pcb layout for z-cars for everyone

sorry, i have no ideas on where to get anything in the uk... i just started on modding these things a couple days ago... and im out of money so im stuck with only two cars!
Z-cars are good, they have ok range, fairly easy to mod with external options, but the controllers are hard to mod.
i have a clone with about 40-50 foot range cause i modded the controller... and im still working on it to get full propo.

I loved my LXX. It took 2 years of beating on it to fall apart. I actually felt that it was slightly better than my bit. I still wouldn't mind having one. I only have ZZs right now though.
