Has anyone else been told this

well like always i went to my local radioshack to pick up some wires and what not and i happened to have my bit char-g supra with me (2.6 motor) and there were these two guys racing zipzaps around (they were store clerks) so i joined them using my bit and they were gripping about how they were tired of seeing zipzap clones everywhere this kinda bugged me so i proved to them that the bits ahve been around longer by showing them the copyright 2001 on the bottom of the car my friend went into a different radioshack and was told that microsizers and bits are clones and are rip offs now the point of this stiry is do you all think that the zipzap people are telling the clerks that they are the originals or do you think its the clerks opinion? and has this happened to anyone else? also i have an extra steering spring i made otta guitar string so if anyone wnats to give it a try then tell me

The guy here was dumbfounded when I told him that bits were alive and well in Japan long before ZZs. I just think that most RS employees had never heard about Bits, and just assumed that ZZs were the first.

Yeah the clerks at rs probably don't know anything about the bit's or microsizers. I mean to most people in the US the ZZ are gonna be considered first, because they were first with the market exposure via RS.

i think zips are original and not clones of the bits because they are more scale and bigger there are worse clones than the zips but i dont think they are.

If you look inside the works are almost identical, many parts are interchangeable. So yes the Zips are based on the technology in the Bits, but I wouldn't say they're close enough to be a clone.

My only problem with clone is that its usage seem to indicate a poor quality. I think the zips are as good as the bits and the term clones seems negative to me.

2 points here

1: 99% of all retail clerks talk out of their anus.

2: radio shack was founded on ripping off innovative technology that will make them money in the short term.

This couldn't be any more true!

Their pay is based mainly on commision, so making their product seem like the best (and also the first) makes them more desirable.

Radioshack tried the same "ours is the best, not IBM, its Tandy compatible" that killed the Tandy PC!

My local RS guys hate when I come in with my bits...they usually hide their ZZ's in fear!

its funny when i am at a store like radiosnack or bestbuy and a customer asks the clerk something and the clerk feeds them some bs and i correct them and make the clerk look dumb.

id say about 3-4 times in the past month ive been at a retard(oops i mean retail) outlet of some sort and ask for some specific product. after pondering for a few seconds the clerk looks at me and and says no we dont have it. so i proceed to hunt it down myself while dragging a kid around who wants to rip every box off of every shelf in the store until i find what i was looking for.

if you pay someone minimum wage that means "we would pay you a lot less if law allowed us to" i dont blame the retard behind the counter.

I used to work at RadioShack for a couple of years (about 4 years ago) and lemme tell you.. yes, it's true. 99% of the employees talk out their anus. Me, I always told the truth and gave correct information, but I still did it in a way to sell and I was pretty damn good at selling. But yeah, most of the employees I worked with were total numbnuts, as were the employees at the stores in our district.

Actually this is exactly what our MicroSizers rep said! She told us that RS approached them about getting some "samples" of MSs before they were out, under the pretense that they wanted to resell them. MS didn't fall for it, but RS soon came out with their own clone (ZZs) all the same!

Like RS coulndn't have gotten a hold of Bit char-g's and there clones counter parts from China and Japan, long before the name Microsizer was ever concieved.

Who's copying whom?

Bits and Microsizers were first. Then came the ZZs. It's as simple as that.

the egg. evolution works by reproductive mutations. so any mutation in genetic material is not activated until the next generation(the egg). whatever came before that egg was something that was almost like a chicken. everything has a clear answer.
