well, the more mah, the more current, but 2000mah would most likely kill your xmod by frying your fets. i know the fet board that jshwaa sells can handle currents like that if i rememeber correctly

Umm, WRONG. First off, the mAH is the battery capacity, but you can fry the board with a stock motor. If you run over 6 cells you will fry the board. This is because of the higher voltage that the stock board wasn't meant to take. I don't know too much about fets, but the info I stated is correct as far as I know.

WRONG! I have been talking about fets for a about a year now, i KNOW FETS control the motor! The ONLY way you can blow your FET's is if you have YOUR MOTOR draw to many AMP's. It does not matter how many batterys AS LONG as the motor does not draw more then 1.8 amps. You CAN run a stage 2 motor with lithium ions in it, or even with a 6th Cell.
Also, do not exceed 7.6 volts from an Xmod, you have a very high risk of it blowing the electrionics.
Ok so lithiums with a stage 1 or 2 motor, is FINE.

Ok, you may have been talking about fets for a year now, but obviously don't know, that when you fry your electronics by adding too many batteries and upping voltage, that you are burning out your fets. I know, my friend has a 4 cell li-ion car and had to put new fets in to handle the voltage, it puts out aroun 11 or 12 volts i believe.

You dumbass, if he has 4 lithums he NEEDS A VOLTAGE REGULAOR! quite bull****ting.

tehre to large to fit, no if you run a stage one or two it wouldnt fry. No matter how many MAH they wouldnt fry. Its only the amount of amps being puller, or not to go over 8.4 volts.

Right, like im a dumbass . Anyways, he had them wired in series at 12 volts and then put them in parallel so he gets a TON of mAH, and now runs a mamba brushless system with all 4 in series.

Sry, forgot this one. Yeah, dont listen to LilStagg, you can have a trillion mAH and your car wont fry. Its the voltage and current draw that will fry your car, just make sure that the batteries will fit inside the car before you order them.

Glad to see the world is full of idiots. Voltage will only fry your FETs if the V(max) of the FETs is exceeded, which is usually 20-60 volts, far more than most people are going to throw at an xmod (6 cell li-ion... in parallel). Current draw is the ONLY thing that will fry a FET on anything like a normal xmod. Voltage destroys the zener diode on the board, which is what limits on board voltage to 5.1 volts, thus not allowing ANY current to pass across it. That's pretty much the only thing voltage will damage, unless there's enough of it to cause an arc across the board's traces or melt the glue that holds the traces on.
