Mustang body kit

Just figured since there were so many questions about it, the two round things in the bottom right of the mustang body kit are in fact tires.

Aren't they just bigger diameter tires to make it look like a hotrod? Kinda like the ones for the Camaro? Doesn't that make the gearing ratio change? I mean not by much but, just a little bit?

It'll change the gearing, yes. Probably by a decent bit, actually, because the tires are probably 10-15% larger than stock. maybe with li-ions and a stage 2 11 tooth, it'll go 33 or 34 instead of 32 or so. But it's not a quantifiable difference, really.

hmm

i dont know if any one else has this problem but i have noticed that when upgrading to bigger wheel and tire on the stock body 65 mustang that the new rims will rub against the side skirt and wheel well when making tight turns....if any one has this problem post a reply.

p.s. does any one know how to fix this and could it hurt my steering servo

Use the taller mount provided then.

The taller mount doesn't affect the front, only the rear tires. So it won't help with the steering. I have one and I will try to duplicate the problem and see if I can help find a solution.

I thought he was saying that the rears are rubbing.

Hey you know what? I just reread that and you are right he is talking about the rear. My bad. Sorry bro.

Viper's right. Do you have the longer rear clip installed?

has anyone tried these tires with the AWD? I think the difference in diameter will cause some problems.
