The problem is, with the AWD, if you had a smaller tire up front, it would spin faster than the rears, thereby f***ing up the car. I'm not sure if it would happen, but it could. I still want tires though, and maybe some new wheels and dragster tires for the RWD cars.

viperdout is right. with a/4wd it would mess up the car. but it would be great for dragsters.

r34: a member of this forum made some nice offset wheels that you might be interested in checking out
also i think that rs should make some metal wheels cause these plastic ones are so easy to tear up and mess up... i have a whole set of wobbly wheels... 3 of them gtr's, dunno why but they tend to get messed up easier vs the other wheels. (notice that the gtr wheels are made of different plastic and not painted)
on xmodworld.com they are selling some alloy wheels but the price is way too steep for me...

Not to take any business away from tiny, but there are some pretty cool aluminum lugs for X-mods already at XMODSPEED.COM but aluminum racing rims would be the shiznit.

Or how about just one wider tire in a set to put on the outside rear. Sprint car style. It would still need to fit under the body though. This kind of set-up has worked on many of my other RC's

Tire needs
Tires need to serve the environment in which they are run. Instead of asking for specific kinds of tire, it may be more helpful to state what kinds of enviroments we need to run in, and whether we want extra traction or extra slip there.
1: Dusty college hallways and corridors, mostly made up of plastic (?) tile and polished stone. Dusty smooth painted cement floors may also fit this type.
2: Typical street and parking lot pavement.
3: Gritty, textured, non-slip surfaces which offer lots of traction (but which tend to eat other tires for lunch), like gritty cement or other sandpaper-like surfaces.
4: Track surfaces designed exclusively for traction.
5: Track surfaces designed exclusively for slip.
6: Track surfaces designed for a mix of traction and slip.
7: Dirt, or simulated dirt, tracks (rally race style); which tend to have inconsistent surfaces.
These may not be every kind of RC racing surface, but they are the most common, and most interesting examples of surfaces for which XMODS cars are designed. If I have left your favorite surface out, please just reply with it.
I don’t know how soon I will encounter each kind of racing environment, but I would very much like to see tires to suit each of these, if possible.

Tire sets
I think it would be a good idea to sell tires in sets of 2 as well as sets of 4. That way, people can mix and match grip, sizes, and whatnot, all they want.

cool
I think some with more realistic treads would be nice as well as off road muding tires and taller ones for dragsters. also some spinners would be nice to put on some of the mods that alot of people are doing

Ridge duplication?
Will you be duplicating the useless outside ridge present on RS tires? (The ridge we are speaking of is not the empty space in the middle that lets the wheel hold on to the tire, but the rubber ridge that sticks out from the tire and prevents adequate contact of the outside rubber with the wheel.)
Not that I have any desire for you to duplicate it, indeed I would prefer otherwise; but will you?

Making them compatable with the Mini Z wheels is good, with wheels that can use Mini Z tires on them. But that early VW rear suspension of an XMODS the tire would need a rounded tread surface to keep a constant feel to it. The taller profiles are good too.
