Post CRT: 1/32 Mini Carpet Racer

Hi everyone,

Mini Carpet Racer is a 1/32 pure indoor racer released from CRT, equipped with carbon chassis and precise alum. parts. I bought one and modded using Li-Poly and Mini-z MR-02 pcb.

I wrote a review of the product and report of my modification, please check it

Hi guys, thank you for comments,
Yes it's tiny, and besides, VERY quick with 7.4v Li-Poly battery.

I just bought one from Intrepid RC. I haven't received it yet but I had some questions. On your site you explain that you used a standard servo with the Mini-Z PCB, but you didn't explain which wires attached where... the PCB uses four wires and the standard servo uses three. My other question is.. It looks like you extended the Rx crystal holder to the opposite side of the chassis. How? With wires?

Thanks

Hi acura2,
open your micro servo case, then remove the small pcb. Then you can see the pot and motor. Mini-z servo wires are for motor (for 2) and pot (for2). Solder them likewise as mini-z.

Crystal holder can be extended by any conductive. I used a thin wire.

Hope these help.

handling

How do these cars handle?
I was emailing with the guy that makes them, (Christian, www.crt-remote.com) a few months ago, very nice guy. Apparently, he will be producing a t-bar rear susp and front susp soon. Thgouht I'd wait until he finished that before I ordered one.

Hi Guys,

I have seen live this 1/32 and spoke directly to Christian, since he was showing his "toy" in the Vienna Model exibition.

The car handle incredible whell (you can't compare with a miniZ) and it has been shown with 4 and 6 cell NiMh AAA ... he was saying that there was no need to use LiPo ... with 6 cell it excellerate extremly fast, and it look very very fast (at least 30km/h)

It has also sone new Lexan bodies only 2 version in the 24h le mans car type.

Yeaph ... the price is far away from my taste ... but is a really cool car.

Ikinari... on your website you show a picture of how you rewired the servo.... in the third picture you have your logo right in the middle where the wires are.... can you post that picture w/o the logo so I can see how to rewire a servo to the Mini-Z PCB... I did it according to how the mini-z setup was but the servo didn't move, so I need help

akura2, sorry for delay I've just noticed your question.
Have you found any solution of the problem?

I searched in my pc but not found the pic without logo. And unfortunately, I don't remember how to wire them.
But it should be the case either of these:

1) one wire to the left and center, the other right.
2) or, one wire to the left, and the other center and right.

And in either case, the color of each wire makes 2 different combination, so the 4 total possibilities. Try one by one, then you'll find the answer.

I also did like that.

Oh, now my website has a BBS so you can post anything about the small rc in my website there.
