Almost free steering magnet particle deflector!

Well, almost free... You need to sacrifice a 3.5" floppy diskette. But you can mod 2 cars with one disk!

First, open up your least favorite 3.5" floppy diskette.

Peel back the white cotton liner and you will find a clear plastic "spring" that presses the liner against the media.

Remove the clear splastic and be careful to to disturb the adhesive side.

Cut the plastic to fit the underside of the car (shown in picture) and bend it to fit the curve of the chassis.

Apply adhesive side in front of the steering adjuster, and lay the clear portion towards the center of the car. Cut to length.

Done! Not only is it inexpensive, you can remove and reuse the debris deflector a couple of times.

great idea..... I always mess around and test my cars in the basement which is also where our shop area is in the house. I pick up more metal chips in 3 passes across the room than i do when i sweep. . . lol and they also make my car wreck which is bad. . . lol thanks for the tip.
