Everything else being the same, can I use a 4channel receiver with a 3 channel Radio?? I've got a 3 channel MX-3 , and I was hoping to get a 4 channel receiver fairly cheaply. I'll probably only ever use 2 channels for surface vehicles, just enquiring on compatibilty...

check with your LHS (Local Hobby Store) first but i would think so. in RCCA (Radio Controlled Car Action) i see 6 channel recievers with 2/3 channel transmitters often. one of the novak recievers has 6 channels and can change frequencies by turning a couple of screws. it also comes with a special transmitter "crystal" for lack of a better word that has the same screw deal on it.
