Need some direction for custom 1/24 crawler

I am starting with a 1/24 scale model body, and working from there. I have wanted to do this for a long time.

I plan on building a brass tube frame, using solid axles and a 540 motor for ultimate torque.

The chassis will not be a problem, I have made them before. I an make any parts that I an get work, I just need some help seleting parts.

I looked at the TLT-1 today, and am very impressed with the solid axles it uses, very nice, and would need very little modding to make them work. Are there any other solid axles out there that could be used?

What about tires and wheels? I want to keep it as scale as possible, so I am thinking aluminum wheels and the nie meaty tires that are out for the Mini-T.

Any suggestions?

I not familiar at giving information on parts that go to different things, I only had a Xmod that was 1:24 Scale.

The Mini T tires should fit on the Xmod wheel if it is a 1:24 Scale.
How do you have enogh room to fit a 540 motor on a size 1:24?
My Xmod can only fit upto a 180 motor.

The TLT axles are to big for 1/24 scale they will look way to big but the VENOM mini giant is what you will need it is 1/20 scale and is much smaller than the TLT, more true to scale.

It has solid axles but only the front axle steers so if you want 4WS you would need two front axles.It has a very compact center gearbox.

The mini giant comes ready to run for around $99.95-$129.95 depending on where you buy it.There is a bearing kit that can be purchased for it.

I plan on putting a 1/25 scale AMT bigfoot monster truck body on mine and it will fit perfectly as far as wheelbase goes.

The mini giant would look good with a tube frame and nicely finished plastic model body mounted on it.

Thanks a lot, I have a lot more info to research now. I am assumming that the Venom parts will work best, but I will completely check out the XMODS links as well, you never know what you may find!
