Zero-Man - Just an FYI ... I gave you props on my 40MPH Dragster Project page here: http://www.xmodspeed.com/dragster.htm
One more thing: With the Lithium-Ion Kits that both myself and Robert sell, the front standoffs come in contact with the battery holder terminals. If you can find a similar standoff in nylon or composite it will prevent any shorting and also reduce weight. Just a thought ...

WAY awsome project there xmodSpeed!!!!!!!!
Yep I found that out when I tried the Li-Ions. Heatshrinked the stand-offs to reduce the possibility of a short. Looked at nylon stand-offs but they were way too expensive in the limited quantities we used.
Wished I had done the intital design work with the Li-Ions but the need to make a hybrid stock/mod kit kept me to the initial layout of the stock electronics.
You can replace the front stand-offs with1 1/8" 2-56 flathead screws and use a nut on top to keep it all together. BTW the mod upgrade kit has much smaller stand-offs.
The best way for drag purposes is to tie the servo retainer to the front deck with short screws and a nut. The AA holder will wedge under the top deck assembly and shorting is no longer an issue. Still plenty rigid!!
Thanks for the PR!!!!!!

I will try the local hobby shop for nylon stand-offs. I might have to put a NiMH 6 pack in the car if the Lu-Ions don't fit.

Sorry if it was mentioned before, but when is the release date for the pro stock carbon fiber chassis or be re-stocked? I am pre-ordering it as I type this message.

Don't have a clue as I don't take the orders........maybe the shop should answer that one.

I've been putting the finishing touches on my CF Classic mod. Additional to upgraded FETs, I've modified my ESC with with XmodSpeed Tite Turnz. With the increase turning radius, the front end drive train binds and the car literally stall. It's my option that the clearance is too close and is causing it to bind. Any suggestions?

Your tires are probably rubbing on the plastic posts on the body that hold the side skirts. I put resistors on my servo that dramatically decrease turning radius and I had to shave the front posts off and glue the side skirts on. Good Luck!

I am done!
Three solderings fell apart, numerous stripped screws (especially the nylon ones), 5 hours, and all I have to show is a built car that looks kinda neat but doesn't run. Most of my problems came from the drive axle because of allignment problems, that caused gear grinding. I have lots of experiance building RC cars, but this one I am throwing in the towel on. My biggest problem with xmods CF chassis or stock is that if you have a problem you most likely have to disasemble the whole thing to fix it. After about five times doing that just today, I think its time to give up
