Rip Off!!
I placed an order in March at xmodspeed.com for parts. They took my money right away without a complaint. They still haven't sent me my parts (or anything except a lame e-mail) I am looking into telephone fraud (DSL uses the phone line) and interstate fraud charges being leveled at this point. I have sent inquiry after inquiry and was even told that my stuff was going to be sent the next day. This is NOW April 19!
We need to get a list together of reputable after-market dealers. The others need to be ignored.
Sorry, I'm sick of being ripped off through the internet.

I guess I'm putting the external FETs on hold... Tell paypal about this, or tell the credit card company, if you used either. Have them withold payment. That usually gets people moving.

A very reputable after-market dealer is Robert Byrd. You can reach him at www.atomicmods.com. Tell him that Jshwaa sent you.

I bought the Li-ion batteries from him way after I ordered from xmodspeed and I'm very happy with the batteries. I am still waiting for my xmodspeed package. Unless they work some miracle I won't be ordering from them again.

We apologize for any delays customers have experienced. We have only been in business a few m,onths and the volume of orders has overwhelmed us. We simply cannot build products fast enough. To resolve this in the future, we have just hired a part-time technician who will be assembling products so we can focus more on shipping items in a timely fashion and coming up with a better way to handle inventory and track product demands.
We are implementing a new payment system in a week that tracks inventory and allows the customer to track their order until it arrives. It will also feature a 1-800 customer service line for customers to call if they have any problems.

No. You were not clear. I got only 1 E-mail that said that the box had been sent to the post office. That can mean that it was put in the secretary's 'out box'. Its like the comment, ''The check is in the mail." After a week one no longer believes
since I haven't recieved the package yet.

calm down people.
xmodSpeed, get your **** together or youll start losing customers if you havent already, i can understand you being behind but you obviously dont know how huge TRC is, i mean if you're being reccomended by everyone on the XMOD forum you're gonna get customers. and pissing people off with your smart ass remarks isnt gonna help you.
if you consistantly delivering great products you get no praise, if you screw up once you're labeled for the rest of your life.

I am well aware how big TinyRC is. I am just sick of a certain few people that are being obnoxious like Barry. I have a customer base of WELL over 400 and have only had a problem with 3 to date! I've kept everyone well informed of what the hold-up was and I even e-mailed Barry twice that his parts shipped. Obviously he has issues with Englishg comprehension since the other 397+ customers seemed to understand just fine and are patiently awaiting their parts without e-mailing me 3 times a week and taking even more of my time than some people insist on doing....

I'm not trying to badmouth anybody. I placed an order. I paid for it and I still have nothing. I can understand getting in over your head. No problem. But I paid for my parts about a month ago. I still have not recieved my parts. I have a reason to be less than satisfied. My bank and Paypal have been very accomodating. I just didn't want to screw up a start-up company. The changes that they are making now are growing pains. However, to expect a new client to sympathise with you when you already got their money and not keep them informed is poor service. I build computers for a second income and I am very careful about this. I always give a double time projection to cover myself. If they don't want that timeframe they can go elsewhere. They get it in half the time and are happy. If I was told that it would take this long, I would have bought the cups from somebody else and not have a table full of parts right now. I still would have got the hop-up kit from them. If I like the kit I bought from xmodspeed I'll tell that also along with pictures since It will be worth noticing the final product. Thank you for my vent.

Barry,
Honestly though ... did I not answer every e-mail you sent me and explained we were backed-up? Did I not tell yopu 2 times I shipped your parts? Like I said, I shipped your parts! At this point, it is out of my control! Yes, I know I should use Tracking Numbers and I have learned that I need to add this service. I plan to with the new payment system.
Like you said, this is still a learning process for us. But I still fail to see how I deserve this disrespect when I have done the best of my ability to keep you informed. Like I stated, the 300+ other customers understood and are being patient with me while we try to get this sorted out.

After breaking my right front alxe... cup... joint... (umm... thingie) on one Sunday afternoon, I desided to just go for the best and get aluminum. (From XmodSpeed.com of course) It cost me $18 plus $5 for S&H. Which I personaly, think is rather expensive, but I didnt feel like special ordering a plastic one from radioshack, just to have it break again within a week or two of hard driving (most of what I do). so I ordered the parts from XmodSpeed.com. (the charge apeared right away on my PayPal account )
I didnt know that they were backed up with orders at the time, So after about 6 or 7 days I emailed XModspeed about the order. He repleied lickety-split and said that they were backed up and that it'd be shiped as soon as posible... or it had been shiped... or something like that....
Anyway... I got the part later that week and was quick to install it.
It worked great! And looked cool, too !
