I'm proud to be an american, but jsut because i don't have an american car doesn't mean I'm against America. Anyways, they usually break down in like 3- 10 years without great care.

Actually, yeah. My dad gave it to me for when I'm 16. It's a crapy old '86 Civic Si. Still accelerates like a beast and runs like it's new. Just needs new CB joints on the front axel since my dad hit a rock tryin to take it down a dirt road romp.

Yeah, but all you have to do is keep in a normal condition,a dn it'll last you like 35 years. Haha, I'd never leave it in a ditch, just strip the engine and everything else and use stuff as coushes and beds, xD.

I beg to differ. For 30k, I can buy an Evo, an STI, or a Cobra. The fastest: the Cobra! The easiest to mod: the Cobra! The most power: the Cobra! Or for 45k, I could buy an STI WR1, or a Vette. What about the Ferrari killing Ford GT? Hmmm...

Ahhh, but Mitsus need higher priced stuff to mod. Pulleys are really cheap, and a Predator, or some other reprogrammer is cheap. Also, I believe it's way easier to change axle ratios in a rear drive car tahn a front driver...

evo is all wheel drive... straight line racing is no fun. auto cross and other racing with turns are the best..

I've also seen qutie a few Evos with blown motors. Cobras have no blown motors, just a bad casting on a head on cars made before 11/02.

They probably blew because people don't think very well and want to put 50 PSI on the turbines, 100 shot nitrous kits and all that crap, and they don't realize that the stock Lancer is already running at the limits of thermodynamics. I mean c'mon, 280 hp out of a 2.0 engine is not enough? That kind of people DESERVE to get their engines blown...

Yeah, that's true. I guess that's why the Evo MR has the same motor, just less weight.

SUP IAN!!!! (its Chris dude) well for sure we all know that ricers are different from a tuner........A ricer is a tuner car that is complete looks and no power.......take my Evo 6 that i had it did have a newer engine but it was all looks. It was litterally only about 3 inches from the ground,,,it had scoops and all that stuff. And it had wide body kits by BOMEX.
Point is Ricers are just for show.....the real power is in the Tuners!!!!! enuf said. have a nice day Ian lol.

the 4G63 isn't at its limits...and what wrong with 280HP from a 2.0?
the thing about cobras with no blown motors.....a blown motor is a result of poor planning....cause down where i live...theres a toyota levin with a 1.6 motor putting down 393HP to the wheels on 83 octane gas in daily driven form....thats when he's running 18Psi boost....but when he's racing he cranks the boost up to 28Psi.....and u know what...i haven't seen not one mustang etc come even close to touching that car even on straight road racing.... 280 from a 2.0 when it comes to japanese cars is just the begining...check with the major tuners and u'd hear of most 2.0s in the 400-800 Hp ranges...take the Top secret JGTC supra, the swapped in the 3S-GTE (2.0l 4 banger) and tuned it to 800HP to achieve a perfectly balanced race car with little weight and 50:50 weight distribution
