Hey There Menni Me,
There's loads of information on the boards, I know It can seem overwhelming, but have a look through and you'll find the most popular mods for building a Mini-Z killa!! Personally I'd say strip the body (lose the weight), get mini-z tires, hook up an extra cell, do the tie rod conversion for extra steering travel. If your gonna spend load$$ you may want to consider a hobby spec ESC and receiver..

Sorry guys I love my xmods but, if your hobby shop is running a mini-z class and it's not drag racing but on a road course then I would suggest buying a mini-z. For what your going to spend on your xmod to make it competitive you could have a nice mr-02 enzo for $149 or less. The enzo just needs some tires and an xspeed motor and you'll have a car that is fast and easy to drive. As you become a better driver you can add all kinds of hop-ups.

Yeah.......what he said. Don't waste money trying to make an Xmod competitive with Mini-Z's. It's just futile.

actually I disagree
I found it to be quite a bit of work to modify my xmod rsx
to fit on my kyosho chassis.

well i actually shouldnt have said that. ive never actually done that myself but i figured that you just make some brackets and glue them on. sorry. but some of us dont have the money or skill to build brackets, and have the parts just lying around to mod the XMOD itself instead of just the body.
(sorry if it sounds like im angry. ive had a bad day.)

I think that some dremel work on the rear mount of the body to clear the mini-z pod. I have seen it done before.

yeah a bit o' sanding and shaping
and as long as you get your front
body mount set up right, all you
really need is velcro to hold it tight
